2016 Christmas Celebration

Let me set the stage: Barbara and Rachel decorated the room at Wente Vineyard Estates Restaurant impeccably. They didn’t forget a thing, from the room and table decorations, the appetizers that were available upon entry, to the wonderful DJ that was already playing great music when we arrived.

We all looked spectacular in our evening wear and were greeted at the door with a smile and given a beverage of our choice, then invited to go straight to the photographer to take a picture. Dylan and Elise of Everlasting Motion Pictures were snapping pictures all night long – what a great job they did. After pictures, we went straight to the appetizers, which I could have made a meal of all by themselves! When we were asked to be seated for Dinner, Ken gave a very heart-felt talk to his employees (great job, Ken!). The dinner was excellent! And the service from the Wente Vineyard employees was just as wonderful (I even got a to-go box of their wonderful bread!). Barbara did a great job with the raffle prizes and had so many it took some time to give out 30 wonderful gifts she picked out herself – enough that every couple who attended got a present to take home (nice touch, Barb!) – and then the dancing started. Boy, some of us even though we are older, we can still bust a move!

All in all – great friends, excellent food, and wonderful memories were made that night. I for one can’t wait to see what is planned for 2017!
